  1. It just feels so very...odd and sad. I put a little note on the homepage in commemoration. It felt so weird to write it... Godspeed Phil.

  2. The saddness is overwhelming. I know you guys meet alot of fans and im sure the faces and names must blur together but we watch you guys on reruns, DVD, buy merchandise with your boats name on it, check your web sites, blogs, and grab for any chance to see what you are up to and how you are doing, To us, you are our friends, we feel we know each of you personally (ok Im speaking in general) The loss of Capt. Phil has hit thousands of us as if we have lost a close friend. I guess what I am trying to say that we really care about you and thousands of us consider you our friend. Take care my friend, be safe and know our prayers are always with you.

  6. Monte:

Great blog; and thanks so kindly for posting information for those who, essentially, live vicariously through you and your fellow courageous fishermen. I hope I did justice to Captain Phil here.

  7. Godspeed Capt Phil. It's Saturday, he's been gone now for 4 days...I still can't believe he's gone. I can't imagine how you all are feeling, you actually KNEW him. I met him and talked to him, but I didn't KNOW him. And yet, I still find myself crying at times...but not for Phil, even though I will miss him greatly...it's for his sons and his Dad and all they are having to go through now.

PLEASE tell everyone to stay safe. I will continue to pray for all of you daily as I have always done. MUCH LOVE to you all!! ((HUGS))

  8. It is still hard to believe he is gone. My condolences to the Harris Family and also to the crews of all the boats on the Bering Sea....like Kim said, you all actually knew him and called him Friend. Know that you all are Prayed for often for your safety and return to your Loved Ones. Calm Waters and Safe Harborm Capt. Phil Harris. You will be missed by many.
